Through this interactive workshop, find out where electronic waste comes from and learn how you can properly dispose it.

Practicing Muslim Simulation
Facilitated by Fatihah Jacob
Islam is the world's second most practiced religion, with over a billion Muslims in countries all across the globe. Despite its prevalence, many people are not well informed about Islamic practices. In America, many Muslims are treated with disrespect and judged unfairly. As part of this workshop, participants will wear traditional Muslim clothing to experience what it feels like to be a practicing Muslim living in Seattle. The workshop also includes a short video and a group discussion.

Foods from Around the World
Facilitated by Najma Mohamud
Engage your taste buds and try tasty foods from five different countries. Participants will have the opportunity to guess the origins of the foods they sample and then learn about the cultural history behind the five different cuisines.

"We're All Suspects Now" Immigration Simulation

In this simulation, follow the footsteps of immigrant people from all around the world and learn about the stumbling blocks they face in order to live the "American Dream." Through an excerpt from the book We Are All Suspects Now, take a critical look at the challenges that immigrants experience.
